Recipient Profile
Sabrina saving her hair before induction of chemo
Sabrina is a beautiful 17 year old young lady. She is the daughter of Chris and Maria Carter, and sister to Christopher and Adam. She is attending Vacaville Christian School, in Vacaville and has just recently completed her sophmore year.
After complaining of neck pain and head aches for about a week, she was brought to Fairfield Northbay Healthcare emergency room after complaining that the pain had traveled down her back. She was diagnosed with Lymphoma. Her white blood cell count was at an alarming rate. A critical care transport team was dispatched to rush her to Children's Hospital Oakland.
Sabrina has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). A very aggressive type of cancer of the cells.
Sabrina's Auntie Bert (Alberta) suggest on cutting off her beautiful long hair to try to save it and make a personnel wig for her. Auntie Bert is a proffessional hair stylist, and gave Sabrina a cute graduated bob haircut to adjust before the chemo treatments begin.
Sabrina and family have faith and know we will win this battle.

Hey Sabrina!
Congratulations for making it past your first phase of chemo. You've shown a lot of maturity and you make us proud. You look so beautiful bald (with your Care Bear mole). I know you want to cheat on me by not wearing my green wig, but we hope you enjoy this new blanket of confidence even more.
Love,
Angela, Brad, Hippo, Squirrelly, Scampi & Sashimi
