Recipient Profile

Tristan My name is Tristan. In my last year of college, I began to develop swollen lymph nodes along my neck and chest. A few months later, nodes swelled inside my chest, causing tremendous pain. I continued with school, receiving a BA in history with honors. Now, at age 24, I have been diagnosed with lymphoma. I will soon have to leave my job as a mentor with the Boys and Girls Club of the Peninsula while I undergoes chemotherapy, and put my dreams of teaching elementary school on hold. I have always been thankful for my long, beautiful hair. It has never been dyed or treated with chemicals. I don't have enough money to afford a wig and pay my medical bills, but I hope through my community's generosity I can feel more comfortable during this struggle.
