I'm a 31 yr old stay at home mom of 2 beautiful kiddos. I was diagnosed in Sept of 2010 with Grave's Disease. A month or 2 before this my hair started falling out. In large clumps. When we found out about my thyroid problems we automatically assumed it was because of that. Well, my hair is still falling out. And my endocrinologist says it is not because of my thyroid. The way it is falling out is not consistent with Grave's Disease at all. Nobody really knows why I am losing my hair, but that they think it is alopecia. But they don't know exactly how much I'm going to lose, or if it's going to grow back.
